Some HUGE releases are scheduled for the month of September.
September 1st
Whitney Houston // I Look To You
It has been 7 LONG years since Whitney Houston’s last release. She has been around the block a few times and finally realized that those fleas she was picking up… were from the dog sleeping in here bed. This album isn’t a madonna like comeback, with Whitney trying to reinvent herself. She is keeping it real and doing what she knows, 80′s like pop. Lots of big names going into the writing and producing of this album. I really hope it does well and Whitney can stay on the straight and narrow. She was always way to talented, to be wasting it on anything else by performing. Just please for the love of god no Body guard 3…
The Used // Artwork – We will be doing a review of this album prior to it’s release.
Black Crowes // Before The Frost…
September 8th
Chevelle // Sci-Fi Crimes
Amerie // In Love & War
Marie Digby // Breathing Underwater
Jay-z // The Blueprint 3
Like typical Jay-z fashion he isn’t releasing this album on the typical Tuesday, instead going with a Friday release on September 11th. We will see if that pays off.
September 9th
THE BEATLES – Remastered Catalog!
I first heard rumors about the remaster project about two years ago and have been giddy with excitement every since! About 7 months ago I read a Rolling Stone article, where they were invited to actually preview the project! They said WOW, it sounded amazing! I am sure some people will have complaints, like they did when Pearl Jam reissued TEN. Claiming that the sound is too clean and not what they are use to. To that I say tough! Just as Eddie Vedder said… this was the way we wanted to release the record. Yes this is going to be FREAKIN AWESOME!
September 15
Muse // The Resistance
Well Muse is almost releasing this on September 15th, they following Jay-z’s example and going with Monday release. I am really looking forward to this record!
Mariah Carey //Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel
This is the follow up to the grammy award winning The Emancipation Of Mimi.
September 20
Pearl Jam // Backspacer
It’s Pearl Jam! What more can be said! I mean once you make an Album like Ten you can pretty much hang it up but then they followed up with Vs. and Vitalogy. They are legendary! They have always been about one thing… MUSIC! Few bands can say that… This is going to be exclusively sold at Target along with Independent stores and Itunes. This seems to be a trend of bands that have a soul. Green Day did a similar deal. It is basically a big FU to Walmart, who has been forcing artists to change their lyrics in order to be stocked in Walmart stores!
September 22
Madonna // Celebration [Greatest hits]
36 songs in all plus two new tracks. I was unable to confirm if Celebration is one of those tracks or it will be 2 completely new tracks.
David Gray // Draw The Line
Sean “Pdiddy” Combs // Last Train To Paris
I have never really been impressed with Puff Daddy, P-Diddy or whatever he goes by this week. We will see if this album has some eye candy… Not holding my breath
September 29
Paramore // Brand New Eyes
We will see if Paramore can make lighting strike twice. Their Sophomore album Riot!, was pretty good even it was played on the radio till your eyes bled! I have a feeling Paramore does an Avril Lavigne and just never measures up to their previous album. Prove me wrong Paramore!
Nelly Furtado // Mi Plan
Alice in Chains // Black Gives Way To Blue
Is Alice in Chains the next AC/DC? The Circumstances are very similar. This will be the first album since Layne Staley’s death in 2002. The band took a 4 year hiatus then began playing again with a new singer William DuVall. Ironically, Duvall and Staley are were born just a few weeks apart in 1967 and are both Virgos. Maybe Duvall, might have the same Vibe after all. I am sure pulling for them. I think if a band is going to make the a singer switch, they have the best chance if the singer dies opposed to leaving the band. Fan’s always take sides in all the band drama.
