Cammarano's Bar and Grill
After sleeping most of the day because i was under the weather today. I woke up craving some good food. So I decided to put aside my initial opinion of Cammarano’s Bar and Grill and give them a try. To give a little background, Cammarano’s was caught doing “Shill” yelp reviews. A “Shill” review are essentially fake negative or positive reviews. They are pretty easy to spot, the reviewer usually only has 1 or just a few reviews in a very short period of time. Cammarano’s was particularily aggressive in their Shill tactics, even calling out real reviewers! I am happy to say that Cammarano’s has stopped this marketing tactic. So to my review of Cammarano’s Bar And Grill
The Postives
- I had the Chicken Marsala which was pretty good. It was a bit drier for my taste but was better then most any corporate place in SCV.
- Service was great, very friendly waitress. I do enjoy the many large T.V.s
The Negatives
- LOCATION! It is way out in the middle of no where! I would consider going here on Sunday to watch football but my phone 3G on my phone wouldn’t work so I couldn’t keep track of my fantasy football. I have yet to find a place better then the pool hall I go to in Sherman Oaks.
- My beer wasn’t as cold as all the Shills kept bragging… just above luke warm.
- Decor was ridiculous! They have the place decorated with a bunch of random cheap sports signs. The type of stuff guys put in their garage. If you are going to do it Sport Chic… then do sports chic! Pinning a jersey or pennets to the wall isn’t decorating. Get some sport memorabilia that is interesting to look at and local. Like a Troy Aikman jersey in a case, Reggie Bush Cleats or Helmet, Kirk Gibson bat, Lakers Autographed Basketball.
Ultimately I want this place to succeed. I would recommend people to give them a try, and I will be back.
