Modest Mouse // Grove At Anaheim
If you like boring cookie cutter music that sounds like everything else? THEN YOU WILL HATE MODEST MOUSE! These guys are freaking spectacular and always keep things fresh! Isaac Brock is an awesome front man, great energy & fun to watch. Never know what he is going to do… a few times he started singing into his guitar pickups!
I love Modest mouse having 2 percussionists! It is great for live music! Sometimes they would both play the same rhythm to give a very full sound while other times one would play other percussion instruments.
My one and only complaint would probably be the song selection. They left out 2 of their most popular songs, Float and Dashboard. Now I know some Artist don’t like to play their popular songs. Kurt Cobain would sometimes leave Smells LIke Teen Spirit off the set list. I am kinda torn here, If I go to Louvre I wanna see the Mona Lisa. I would have really loved it if Modest Mouse would have played these two songs, I actually think those were the only 2 songs Lauren really even knew. LOL
Modest Mouse is a terrific live band! I look forward to seeing them again hopefully in a different venue where I get a seat!
